The Houston Rockets got a big win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, but it came at a cost. Center Clint Capela suffered a head injury when he drew charge late in the game. He was evaluated for a concussion and is expected to miss Friday’s home game against the Indiana Pacers, according to ESPN’s Tim McMahon.
The Rockets are already without Eric Gordon, so losing Capela makes their rotation really that much more thing. He completed his fifth straight double-double before the injury, and the last three came with 20 rebounds in each game. In the last four games combined, he has blocked 14 shots.
In Capela’s absence, Tyson Chandler is likely to get the start. He played 16 minutes against the Clippers and finished with five points, nine rebounds, and two blocked shots. He will offer some decent value with the volume he’ll gain in Capela’s absence. He’s not a must-start, but he’ll be in a lot of lineups on Friday.
