The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns kick off Thursday Night Football to open Week 11. The Steelers are 5-4 and leading the second wild card berth, while the Browns are 3-6 and desperate for a win to hang in the playoff race.
The betting public is backing the road dog Steelers in a big way at DraftKings Sportsbook. Cleveland had been sitting as -2.5 favorites for much of the week, but the line looks like it will close at Cleveland as full field goal favorites. As of Thursday afternoon, 81 percent of handle on the point spread and 82 percent of bets placed are on Pittsburgh. Considering the overwhelming support, it’s interesting that we’ve had a half point of reverse line movement.
The public also thinks the Steelers will win this game outright. The public is backing the Steelers money line (+133) to the tune of 83 percent of the handle and 86 percent of tickets bet. The Browns are -152 on the money line.
The point total was sitting at 40 for much of the week, but is now 41.5 shortly before the game. 63 percent of the handle and 60 percent of total bets is on the over. Maybe people think OBJ will bounce back and James Conner will have a huge game in his return from a separated shoulder.
