Report: A.J. Green to be ruled out for Week 11 vs. Raiders

Bengals WR A.J. Green remains sidelined and there is no end in sight.

The Cincinnati Bengals will wrap up their Week 11 practice week on Friday, and wide receiver A.J. Green is expected to be ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders. Team reporter Geoff Hobson said as much in his Thursday afternoon post-practice report, and it’s not a shocking development with Green still not practicing.

Fantasy football analysis: Bengals WR A.J. Green

Green has six weeks left after this week to get back on the field. However, with the Bengals still winless, there’s not a ton of incentive for him to return to action. He’s rehabbing torn ligaments in his ankle, and dealing with swelling that kept him from returning to practice last week. It would not surprise me to see him not return to football action this season.

John Ross is back at practice with a few weeks remaining before he can come off the injured reserve list. In the meantime, Tyler Boyd, Auden Tate, and Alex Erickson are the team’s top three receivers. They face a shaky Raiders defense this weekend. Boyd is a solid start most weeks, but Tate and Erickson have yet to show enough consistency to justify starting in any formats.
