The Philadelphia Eagles elected to not promote running back De’Angelo Henderson off their practice squad on Saturday, per reporter Adam Caplan. This came following the team’s decision to sign Jay Ajayi on Friday.

Howard was limited in practice all week and listed as questionable on the team’s final injury report. That would suggest he was potentially a game-day decision. Ajayi knows the offense and provides value off the bench if the team decides to deactivate Howard. And it gives the team until Sunday morning to fully assess Howard’s status

Fantasy football analysis: Eagles RB Jordan Howard

The Patriots have given up the fewest fantasy points to running backs this season, so this is certainly not an ideal matchup. That being said, the Eagles are without Alshon Jeffery due to an ankle injury, and placed DeSean Jackson on injured reserve. They’ll be shorthanded at receiver, which means we can expect the running backs and tight ends to be extra busy. Sanders and potentially Howard or Ajayi could gain some value in PPR leagues as even more significant options in the passing game.
