How to handle Adam Thielen’s injury in Week 11 fantasy football

Thielen has been ruled out this week, so here’s how to plan around his absence.

The Minnesota Vikings will not have wide receiver Adam Thielen again this week. He hurt his hamstring in Week 9 against the Chiefs, and has yet to return to action. The Vikings have a bye next week, giving Thielen more time for rest and recuperation, so he could very well be back in action for Week 13.

Thielen’s overall numbers this season, so far, have not been spectacular, but they have been reliable. He caught four touchdown passes in three straight games before his injury in Week 9. He has six scores on the season.

Once he does return, he will definitely warrant your fantasy attention again. But for now, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

The Vikings will have Stefon Diggs in action who was on a scorching hot streak last month. But after three straight games with triple-digit yardage, his last two outings have been a little meh, a total of 53 yards and no touchdowns during that time. This week, he’ll be seeing a lot of Broncos CB Chris Harris, so he’s probably worth avoiding.

That could mean more production for rookie Olabisi Johnson, who saw his workload increase last week with Thielen out.
