The Detroit Lions apparently decided to make a change at running back. Ty Johnson and JD McKissic have handled the bulk of the work since Kerryon Johnson went on IR, but in Week 11, Bo Scarbrough is the go-to guy.
Scarbrough made his offensive debut, and has 14 rushes for 55 yards and a touchdown. McKissic had three for 13 yards and three receptions for 40 yards before getting looked at by a trainer per beat writer Erik Schlitt. Johnson has one rush for one yard.
Johnson was in the concussion protocol this week but was cleared through it. He would have been expected to start, but Matt Patricia decided to shake things up. Scarbrough was a seventh round pick in 2018, but had did not make his debut until this game. His first career touchdown came on his third career carry.
It’s safe to say Scarbrough will be a popular waiver claim heading into Week 12.
