If you were waiting for word on running back David Montgomery’s injury status, we’ve got good news. The Chicago Bears announced their inactives for Week 11 Sunday Night Football and Montgomery is active. He will start against the Los Angeles Rams and Tarik Cohen will continue in his primarily pass-catching role.
Montgomery showed up on the injury report after rolling his ankle in practice. He sat out Thursday and while he returned on Friday, he was limited and listed as questionable on the final injury report.
Fantasy football analysis: Bears RBs David Montgomery, Tarik Cohen
The Rams have given up the 11th fewest fantasy points to running backs this season. Montgomery had a 60-yard rushing performance last week after finding the end zone in three of his previous four games. He had also been a bit more regularly involved in the passing game Weeks 8 and 9, but was not targeted in Week 10.
Montgomery and Cohen are not great starts. If you were waiting on Montgomery’s injury status, you at least know he’ll play and offer some decent value as a volume option. Cohen remains primarily a PPR option.
