Arizona regularly forgetting to cover Ross Dwelley in Week 11

49ers tight end Ross Dwelley is finding the end zone regularly in Week 11. We break down the fantasy football implications for George Kittle’s replacement.

The San Francisco 49ers are hoping to get tight end George Kittle back in the lineup sooner rather than later, but in Week 11 they’re getting a huge game from his replacement. Ross Dwelley has three receptions for 11 yards vs. the Arizona Cardinals, but two of those receptions are for touchdowns.

Dwelley is listed with three targets, but he had a fourth one that would have been a touchdown if not for a penalty. The 49ers are shorthanded with Kittle and Matt Breida sidelined, and Dwelley has been a red zone beneficiary.

Fantasy football analysis: 49ers TE Ross Dwelley

Kittle did not practice this week, so he could very well return this coming week. Whether he does or not, Dwelley is likely a one-hit wonder. He could find the end zone in future weeks, but this is the kind of fool’s gold to avoid with your waiver wire priority. If you’re absolutely desperate in Week 12, you’ll find safer options with higher floors.
