Robert Woods inactive for Rams [UPDATE]

This is a rather surprising development in Week 11.

Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Ryan Glasgow and defensive tackle Renell Wren team up to tackle Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods during the second half of the game between the Rams and Bengals at Wembley Stadium.  Steve Flynn-USA TODAY Sports

UPDATE: If you need a replacement for Woods, here are waiver options to consider.

UPDATE: The Rams announced that Woods is out because of “a personal issue.”

The Los Angeles Rams announced their Week 11 inactives and wide receiver Robert Woods is an unexpected INACTIVE. There is no word yet on what led to the move. He was not on the team’s injury report this week.

A week ago, Woods was targeted 11 times and caught seven passes for 95 yards. He led the team in receiving yards and was second in targets behind tight end Gerald Everett. Cooper Kupp was targeted four times but did not catch a single pass for the first time in his career. It’s safe to say with Woods an unexpected inactive that Kupp will get plenty of opportunities in Week 11 on Sunday Night Football against the Bears.

Josh Reynolds is the receiver most likely to benefit from Woods’ absence. He has stepped up in recent weeks during Brandin Cooks’ absence. He had three receptions for 49 yards last week and three for 73 and a touchdown the week prior.
