Indianapolis Colts running back Marlon Mack broke his hand on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars and will be out indefinitely following surgery, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Mack fractured the metacarpal bone ins his right hand and will come back with a splint on the hand, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Mack left Week 11 with the injury after rushing 14 times for 109 yards and a touchdown. Jonathan Williams replaced him in the starting lineup and rushed 13 times for 116 yards and adding a 31-yard reception. Nyheim Hines had three rushes for 11 yards and caught three of four targets for 24 receiving yards. Jordan Wilkins was inactive with an ankle injury.

Fantasy football waiver wire advice

Williams will be the popular pickup on fantasy football waiver wires, but if you can’t land him, Wilkins is worth a flier. If Williams struggles, Wilkins could get the opportunity once he’s healthy. Hines has PPR value, but no standard value.

The Colts travel to face the Texans on Thursday Night Football in Week 12. Houston has given up the tenth fewest fantasy points to running backs this season. It’s a tough matchup, but Williams will be a solid volume play initially.
