UPDATE 10:04 p.m.: Tyreek Hill is on the sideline as the Chiefs get started at the beginning of the second half. ESPN’s sideline reporter said that Andy Reid told her, “Hill is definitely hurting.”
UPDATE 9:09 p.m.: Tyreek Hill “jogged” back to the sideline according to Chiefs beat writer Nate Taylor.
UPDATE 8:48 p.m.: The Chiefs have announced Tyreek Hill is questionable to return with a hamstring injury.
UPDATE 8:42 p.m.: Tyreek Hill has gone back to the locker room to get further checked out. In his absence, Sammy Watkins is the team’s No. 1 wide receiver followed by some combination of Mecole Hardman and Demarcus Robinson.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill had to limp off the field midway through the first quarter with some kind of leg injury. Beat writer Sam McDowell described him as walking off gingerly, and reporter Fernando Ramirez said Hill was barely able to walk off. The Chiefs receiver was targeted twice before the injury and has not caught a pass yet.
Hill was spotted on the sideline with his teammates and trying to stretch out his leg, per Nate Taylor. He was then spotted getting a massager type of tool used on his right quad. It’s possible he is dealing with a basic cramp, which would get him back on the field sooner rather than later.
