Melvin Gordon OK, but disappoints for fantasy owners in Week 11

Chargers RB Melvin Gordon faced an awful Chiefs run defense, but did not get nearly enough opportunities.

The Los Angeles Chargers lost a tough one to the Kansas City Chiefs, losing 24-17 in Mexico City and dropping to 4-7 on the season. The Chargers defense showed up well for significant stretches against the Chiefs prolific offense, but the Chargers offense could not take advantage of good field position.

Philip Rivers had a particularly disappointing evening, throwing three interceptions against 292 yards and a touchdown. But considering how bad the Chiefs run defense is, running back Melvin Gordon had his own disappointing game. He averaged nearly five yards per carry, but he only got 14 carries and finished with 69 rushing yards. He added three receptions for 21 yards, but overall it’s tough to get excited about the Chargers game plan.

Gordon finished the game with 12 DKFP. The Chargers go on bye this week and will look to re-group before they travel to face the Denver Broncos in Week 13.
