A hamstring injury forced Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill from their matchup with the Chargers on Monday Night Football. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Hill’s injury “was deemed minor.” His source compared the injury to one a player might suffer in training camp that the team would be cautious with.

Hill wanted to go back in on Monday night and the injury is considered day-to-day. With Kansas City on bye this week, there’s a “real chance he doesn’t miss any time,” according to Rapoport.

Damien Williams and LeSean McCoy also suffered injuries on Monday night, so the bye couldn’t have come at a better time for the team. If Hill does happen to miss a game, which looks unlikely now, Mecole Hardman is your pickup, as he played the second-most wide receiver snaps and led the wide receivers in targets while Hill was out.
