A.J. Green doesn’t practice — still ‘day by day’

A.J. Green continues to miss practice with his injured left ankle. Beat writer Marisa Contipelli reports that head coach Zac Taylor says they are still taking his injury day-by-day.

At this point, it’s impossible to believe the “day-by-day” line, as Green should have been ready to play weeks ago. His injury is either one that should put him on injured reserve or he is upset with contract negotiations and is milking the injury. There is no way to know for sure, and if you are waiting on him to play for your fantasy team, there’s a good chance you will keep on waiting.

Tyler Boyd and Alex Erickson are the only two healthy starters now, as Auden Tate deals with a concussion and cervical strain suffered in Week 11. After last week’s game against the Raiders, Boyd wasn’t happy with his three targets. If it’s him, Erickson, and Stanley Morgan against the Steelers on Sunday, Boyd might get the squeaky wheel treatment.
