Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma is expected to play Friday night vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder. Kuzma suffered an eye abrasion in Tuesday’s win over the Thunder and only was able to play nine minutes, finishing with five points. He’s expected to practice with the team Thursday before traveling to Oklahoma City for the game.

Fantasy Basketball Analysis, Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma

This is certainly good news for Kuzma owners in season-long. It seems he’ll be OK and able to play, though eye injuries are tricky considering there’s a decent chance a big man can hit in the face. We don’t know if Kuzma will wear any protective gear — a face mask — which would possibly hinder his performance or create a dumb DFS narrative for us to “exploit” or something.

Kuzma may be worth benching in season-long however, since the matchup is somewhat tough as we saw Tuesday night. Other than Anthony Davis and LeBron James, the rest of the Lakers’ roster was relatively quiet. In terms of DFS, I’m not sure I’d feel the need to play Kuzma on a heavy slate, but we’ll have to see what his price is.
