Oh baby, we’re on a heater boys! Let’s go! After last night’s perfect slate of picks (4-0), we’re currently 11-2 in the past two nights. That means tonight will definitely go horribly and whoever is reading this will go back to cursing my name.
It’s either a wide margin or a pick ‘em essentially, there’s no in between on Wednesday night’s 11-game card. The marquee matchup of the night is in Los Angeles between the Celtics and Clippers, where Kawhi Leonard and Paul George will play their first regular-season game together, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Other than Rockets vs. Nuggets and Magic-Raptors, we could get a lot of lopsided basketball tonight. I’m most likely going to be looking at a lot of teams getting points, just a heads up before we get going.
Knicks (+12.5) at 76ers
Wizards (+2) vs. Spurs
Warriors (+13.5) at Mavericks
Bucks (-10.5) at Hawks
Magic (+3) at Raptors
Heat (-10.5) vs. Cavaliers
Nets (-4.5) vs. Hornets
Timberwolves (+3) vs. Jazz
Rockets (+1) at Nuggets
Celtics (+7) at Clippers
Note: Draymond Green (heel) is out for the Warriors. I’m off Golden State +13.5 because I’m a coward.
I’m not scared by the back-to-back for the Warriors on the road. They played better basketball and I trust Steve Kerr as a coach. I still think the Mavs ultimately win, but the Dubs should cover this. Same goes for the Knicks, they’re playing better basketball lately and the Sixers may let them stick around long enough to backdoor cover. This spread was once up to 17.5 points, so it’s coming down. The T-Wolves could get Andrew Wiggins back and are getting points against a team they beat on the road. Is this a trap? The Celtics getting that many points always seems like a decent bet, I don’t care if Kawhi is back, this game should be tight.
