Zach Pascal has two mediocre games in a row, but the absence of Jacoby Brissett and a run-heavy game script account for part of those low fantasy numbers. He now has two big fantasy games out of his last five, but has also been without T.Y. Hilton taking away targets of late. Hilton’s calf injury kept him out of the previous three games, and he now has a chance to play on Thursday night.
Fantasy football analysis: Indianapolis Colts WR Zach Pascal
The last time these two teams met, Pasal and Hilton both scored, but Pasal put up more significant numbers with 106 yards and two touchdowns to Hilton’s 76 yards and one touchdown.
The Texans are sixth-worst in allowing fantasy points to opposing wide receivers, and the Texans are favored by -5.5 points. That sets up well for Jacoby Brissett to need to throw the ball, unlike last week against the Jaguars. The Colts do have plenty of targets, with Jack Doyle, Eric Ebron, and Nyheim Hines all involved, and that doesn’t factor in Hilton and Marcus Johnson, who outplayed Pascal last week statistically.
Even if Hilton plays, there’s a chance Brissett needs to throw enough to give Pascal enough targets for fantasy production, but it will be more complicated than if he doesn’t.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Pascal as a WR3 if Hilton is out.
Start Pascal as a WR4/5 if Hilton plays.
