UPDATE: Fuller is active.
The Houston Texans expect to have wide receiver Will Fuller playing tonight when they host the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football, per NFL Network reporter James Palmer. Fuller injured his hamstring in Week 7 and has not played since then. He returned to practice last week after the team’s bye, and has now gotten in six straight limited practice sessions.
Fantasy football analysis: Texans WRs Will Fuller, Kenny Stills
Fuller’s return might take some targets from DeAndre Hopkins, but it also means the Colts defense can’t just focus on him. They’ll have to spread their defense around which could make Hopkins’ life a little bit easier.
The bigger question is how this impacts Kenny Stills. In Fuller’s absence, Stills moved outside and Keke Coutee moved into the slot role. Stills will return to that slot role with Fuller outside opposite Hopkins. Stills is still a decent deeper option, but not quite the same upside as when Fuller was out. But like with Hopkins, if the defense is spread a little more thin, maybe Stills can find some more efficiency.
Hopkins is the must start, while Fuller is more of a flex option for the time being. Even with some rust, he’s got considerable big play ability. Stills is a deeper league flex option, but hopefully you have some better options to consider.
