Top fantasy football D/ST plays under $3,000 in Week 12 DFS

Top value targets at D/ST for the 11-game Week 12 main slate on DraftKings.

Getting good value on D/ST plays isn’t just about the points-per-dollar, but opening up room for the plays you want in the rest of your lineup. That’s why I usually pay down for D/ST options, but the 11-game Week 12 main slate on DraftKings doesn’t offer many places to do so. It may be a week to spend up on D/ST, but here are my top value options.

Broncos ($2,400) at BUF

The Bills offense has really struggled when it isn’t facing bottom of the barrel competition, and the Broncos D/ST isn’t that. Denver’s been pretty solid over the last three games, scoring 19 total DKFP. There’s upside for sacks here, with 11 of those 19 points coming from getting to the QB. Getting four sacks and holding the Bills to about 17 points would be a good day for $2,400, especially if the Broncos can add a turnover or two.

Bengals ($2,100) vs. PIT

I’m not going to tell you the Bengals have a good defense, but it did score 8.0 DKFP in Oakland last week, and even managed 9.0 DKFP in Baltimore earlier in the year. More importantly, Cincinnati is at home, and facing a terrible Pittsburgh offense. The Steelers will be missing a ton of playmakers in this one, most notably James Conner and JuJu Smith-Schuster. Pittsburgh’s offense has scored just 17 points in the last two games combined, and Mason Rudolph is coming off a four-interception game on the road in the division.

Dolphins ($2,000) at CLE

I expect the Browns to get the win here at home, but we can’t pass up the cheapest D/ST on the board against a turnover-prone QB. Cleveland’s offense ranks just 23rd in terms of DKFP allowed to opposing D/ST units — mostly thanks to turnovers and sacks. If the Dolphins can muster up 6.0 DKFP in this game and go 3X its salary that’d be welcomed value. It’s averaging 7.0 DKFP over the last three outings.
