The New England Patriots host the Dallas Cowboys in Week 12, and they could be extremely short-handed at the wide receiver position. Julian Edelman, Mohamed Sanu, and Phillip Dorsett are all listed as questionable for the game. Edelman seems the most likely to play, but Sanu and Dorsett could face steep hurdles to getting back.
Sanu is dealing with an ankle sprain that might cost him multiple weeks, and now beat writer Mike Reiss is reporting Dorsett has yet to be cleared for football activities. Dorsett suffered a concussion in Week 11 and after a DNP on Wednesday was listed as limited on Thursday and Friday. Conceivably he could be cleared today, but if not, he won’t play on Sunday.
Fantasy football analysis: Patriots wide receivers
The big “winners” if you will in all this would be N’Keal Harry and Jakobi Meyers. Both would see a boost in playing time, with the rookie Harry potentially moving into a starting spot opposite Julian Edelman. Neither is a strong fantasy option this weekend against a solid Cowboys pass defense, but Harry in particular is someone to monitor. He’s already owned in dynasty and keeper leagues, but a solid showing against Dallas could justify rostering him as well in single season re-draft leagues.
