What to do with Jimmy Graham in Week 12 fantasy football

Jimmy Graham hasn’t lived up to expectations this year. Can he break out this week against the 49ers defense?

Jimmy Graham hasn’t lived up to his preseason ranking, as he’s hit double-digit PPR fantasy points just three times and has yet to top 61 yards receiving. He’s had one game over five targets and has averaged four targets over the last six games. He is now firmly a touchdown dependent tight end, of which there are many.

Fantasy football analysis: Green Bay Packers TE Jimmy Graham

When dealing with a touchdown dependent tight end, you usually look for matchups to guide you. Take the Cardinals, a player like Ross Dwelley is very much touchdown dependent but his odds last week to score against Arizona’s bad tight end defense overrode Dwelley’s mediocre ability. Graham needs similar matchups to feel good about starting him.

This week the Packers take on the 49ers, who allow the fewest yards and fantasy points to tight ends so far this season. They did give up eight receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown to Jacob Hollister last week, but Hollister saw ten targets. Graham isn’t going to see ten targets in this game.
