The New York Giants have lost six games in a row and it’s clear their chances of salvaging this season are fading. Well, they’re pretty much in “Fade to Black” mode. While it’s been a tumultuous rookie season for Daniel Jones, the Giants may have found a hidden gem in WR Darius Slayton, who has 177 receiving yards and four TDs over his past three games.
Slayton’s rise has mostly been caused by Sterling Shepard not being able to get healthy. However, Shepard was cleared through the concussion protocol and removed from the injured list head into Week 12 vs. the Bears. Golden Tate has also proved to be a strong signing with double-digit fantasy points in four straight games.
Fantasy Football Analysis: New York Giants wide receivers
Everybody started attacking the Bears defense like it was finished, a shell of its former self. Well, it’s odd because Chicago still ranks pretty low in yards allowed and points allowed per game. The Bears are at home and in a must-win game against a weaker opponent. Because of this, I’m not crazy about Slayton given his boom-or-bust nature.
Sterling Shepard returns and could hold some value, but he hasn’t played since Week 5. He could jump right in and be fine, but rust is still a consideration in his first game back.
Golden Tate is familiar with Chicago from his days with the Lions, but again, he’s only really a viable FLEX option in deep PPR leagues. Overall, I’d be willing to fade pretty much everyone on the Giants’ offense not named Saquon Barkley.
