The New England Patriots are 9-1, but they’re a bit of a walking wounded when it comes to their wide receivers. They head into their Week 12 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys with their top three receivers all listed as questionable.
Julian Edelman suffered a shoulder injury in Week 11 and was listed as limited all three days. Mohamed Sanu is dealing with an ankle injury and could end up missing multiple weeks. He was a DNP on Wednesday and Thursday, but got in a limited session on Friday. Finally, Phillip Dorsett is recovering from a concussion, and while he is progressing through the concussion protocol, he has to remain asymptomatic through the weekend.
Fantasy football analysis: Patriots WR Phillip Dorsett
Julian Edelman and Phillip Dorsett seem the most likely of the three receivers to play. Edelman is a must start, but after that it’s hard to justify anybody else. The Cowboys have given up the third fewest fantasy points to wide receivers, and are playing some decent ball against pass catchers.
If Sanu sits, N’Keal Harry will see a boost in playing time. If Sanu and Dorsett both sit, Harry could end up as a starter opposite Edelman. Harry is not worth starting at this point, but he’ll be worth keeping on your radar. And of course, he is a must roster in keeper and dynasty leagues.
