The Philadelphia Eagles have officially listed running back Jordan Howard as questionable. He continues to recover from a shoulder injury that forced him of last week’s loss to the New England Patriots. So, will Howard be in uniform and ready to play this week when the Eagles host the Seattle Seahawks?
Questionable means there’s a chance, a 50-50 shot that a player will be active. Howard spent the week practicing with him team, but he was doing so in a limited capacity. The most concerning bit of news pertaining to Howard is that he has still not been cleared for contact. You kind of need to be able to take contact to play football.
In other words, you might want to plan as if Howard will be out.
Fantasy football analysis, Philadelphia Eagles RB Jordan Howard, Miles Sanders
Even if Howard does get cleared and suit up to play, he would almost certainly have a limited work load. The Eagles running back who should be on your radar is Miles Sanders.
Sanders, a rookie second-round pick, got a lot of work last week against the Patriots. He carried the ball a team-high 11 times, but only managed to pick up 38 yards. He also caught two passes for 9 yards. But don’t fixate on the stats; the Patriots defense is good.
Seattle’s defense isn’t bad against the run, but there should be plenty of opportunity for work. And with a $5,000 salary in DK leagues this week, he’s not a bad second running back at all.
