UPDATE: George Kittle is ACTIVE.

If George Kittle is on your fantasy football team or even someone who you might be thinking about spending big to put on your daily fantasy squad this week, you have no doubt been waiting for any sign of certainty about his status for this week’s game. Well, we still lack a definitive answer, but the latest reports on Saturday suggest that Kittle will be in uniform and ready to play when the San Francisco 49ers host the Green Bay Packers on Sunday Night Football this week.

Kittle missed the last two weeks of work because of a knee injury. This week, the team listed him as questionable on the Friday injury report, leaving some doubt about his status. However, he was back at practice this week talking up this week’s game. And now, the people on the Niners beat are telling us that we can expect him to play.

Kittle is too good not to play when he’s active. The biggest question this week is how he’ll do against a pretty stout Green Bay pass defense.

The 49ers offense is good enough and with a big enough group of weapons that it will pose a challenge to the Packers. Perhaps the best sign for Kittle’s potential output this week is that Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce had a 63-yard, one-touchdown performance in a loss to them back in Week 8.
