Sunday’s NBA action begins early from Houston with the Rockets hosting the Dallas Mavericks. We take a look at the important snippets to consider when making your betting selections on DraftKings Sportsbook.

It’s James Harden vs. Luka Doncic in the first game of the day. Despite the Mavericks coming into this game on the back of four straight wins, Houston (on a two-game losing streak) are heavy favorites. That handicapping style will not change for the majority of regular season as long as Harden and Russell Westbrook are healthy.

The New York derby is next on NBA’s Sunday offering. An important consideration is the absence of Kyrie Irving for the Brooklyn Nets. While the Knicks have stuttered and stumbled their way to a sub-par 4-12 record, the Nets have sneaked up on 0.500 for the season with two straight wins (7-8).

One for the over? How about the Washington Wizards hosting the Sacramento Kings? The Wizards are the league’s highest-scoring team, with 120.1 points per game. They are also the most efficient ball-passers, racking up 28.8 assists a game, also the best in the NBA. However, the Wizards also concede 120.8 points a game, worst in the NBA. The Kings prefer to move the ball around with a rapid tempo as well.

The Phoenix Suns are massive underdogs for their game against the Denver Nuggets, who possess an 11-3 record, including a current streak of four successive wins. Ricky Rubio and Aron Baynes are listed as questionable.

All eyes will be on Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in tandem against the resurgent New Orleans Pelicans. The Clippers closing out their game against the Houston Rockets in a high-intensity affair was compelling basketball, which means more eyeballs for this plausibly high-scoring game. This is the second of a back-to-back set for the Pelicans.

Here are the point spreads and the O/U totals for Sunday’s games:

Mavericks @ Rockets (-6, 232) 3:30 p.m. ET
Nets @ Knicks (+2.5, 214.5) 6:00 p.m. ET
