The New England Patriots had listed Julian Edelman as questionable heading into Week 12’s matchup vs. the Dallas Cowboys at Foxboro. The thing is, nobody really doubted Edelman would suit up for this game, with the Patriots 9-1 and looking to move closer to a playoff berth. Edelman will look to keep his streak of at least 10 targets alive for a sixth straight game.
Fantasy football analysis: New England Patriots wide receivers
As I mentioned above, Edelman is seeing huge volume in terms of targets, with at least 10 targets in five straight games. As is tradition, the Patriots like to spread the love out in the running game, but the passing game is funneled through Edelman. I wouldn’t worry too much about rolling him out in all formats, he’s a PPR stud who should have no problem reaching his floor of double-digit fantasy points vs. the Cowboys.
The only thing I’d maybe monitor is the weather, but we saw Edelman perform just fine in bad weather against the Cleveland Browns a few weeks back, catching eight passes for 78 yards and two scores. I still think N’Keal Harry has plenty of value as a second option behind Edelman, but obviously his appeal — particularly in DFS — takes a hit with Edelman playing.
