The Seattle Seahawks won’t have pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney this afternoon for their matchup vs. the Philadelphia Eagles. Clowney had been dealing with knee and hip injuries, and was hopeful to play this week prior to being ruled out. This is a pretty big blow to Seattle’s defensive outlook for this matchup, so let’s see how it will impact how you approach the Seahawks D/ST.
Fantasy Football analysis: Seattle Seahawks D/ST
Clowney is one of the top 4-3 defensive ends in the NFL, so this hurts the Seahawks’ ability to rush Carson Wentz and keep the Eagles honest in the passing game. It was already a strong matchup for Philly, so this makes things even more enticing. All the Eagles’ skill guys should be in play in season-long formats. As for the Seahawks D/ST, you may not see a sack or two, but Clowney doesn’t change much else. Seattle has allowed 372.9 yards per game this season to go with 25.4 points, so the Seahawks D/ST wasn’t really an appealing option this week anyway.
