Phillip Dorsett is INACTIVE for Week 12

The Patriots are extremely short-handed at the wide receiver position in Week 12. We break down the fantasy football implications.

The New England Patriots passing attack will be without a couple notable weapons in Week 12 when they face the Dallas Cowboys. The team announced their inactives, and wide receivers Phillip Dorsett and Mohamed Sanu are inactive. Sanu is dealing with an ankle sprain, while Dorsett is still recovering from a concussion.

Dorsett was a DNP in practice on Wednesday, but then got in limited workouts Thursday and Friday before being listed as questionable on the final injury report. On Saturday, we learned Dorsett had not yet been cleared for football activity. Given that was a day away from the Cowboys game, that indicated he was unlikely to play.

Fantasy football analysis: Patriots wide receivers

With both Dorsett and Sanu inactive, N’Keal Harry and Jakobi Meyers will see more playing time. Harry will start outside opposite Julian Edelman, with Meyers getting work as the third receiver. Edelman is the only one of the Patriots receivers worth starting against a decent Cowboys pass defense.

Harry and Meyers could be options later in the season, but not right away. Harry is worth rostering as the higher upside guy if Sanu misses more time.
