Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is a front-runner alongside Lamar Jackson for NFL MVP, and he is off to a strong Week 12 start in boosting that candidacy. Wilson and the Seahawks used some trickeration for his 28th overall touchdown this season. He pitches the ball to Chris Carson who throws it back to Wilson. The QB then finds Malik Turner with a dime in the end zone.

Jackson entered Week 12 with the slight edge in the MVP odds at DraftKings Sportsbook. He faces the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football, and if he has even just a “solid” game, the prime time lights could boost his stature in the MVP odds.
If this MVP races comes down to Week 17, Wilson might have the edge. He has the tougher matchup — facing the 49ers while Jackson faces the Steelers — but if Wilson has a big game to close out the regular season, that might be enough to secure the MVP award. But of course, with five weeks remaining in the regular season, plenty can and probably will change.
