Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz left Sunday’s Week 12 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks after suffering a hand injury on a botched handoff exchange with Miles Sanders, according to ESPN’s Tim McManus. He went back to the locker room to get it checked out and backup QB Josh McCown started warming up in preparation for going in. However, Wentz returned in time for the next series and did not miss a snap.

After the game, Wentz got x-rays of his hand and they came back negative. He was later seen wearing a sizable bandage with ice on his hand, and head coach Doug Pederson said he would be getting some additional tests on the hand.

Wentz told McManus and the media he is not concerned about the additional testing revealing any damage, but they’ll wait and see on it.

Fantasy football analysis: Eagles QB Carson Wentz

Everybody seems fairly optimistic about the situation, so you can probably assume Wentz will play next week when the Eagles travel to face the Miami Dolphins. Wentz struggled against Seattle, but Miami could be just what the doctor ordered. More than likely fantasy football players have moved on from Wentz as a regular starting option, but if injuries have you shorthanded next week, he’s a streamable option against the woeful Dolphins.
