The Philadelphia Eagles dodged a potentially concerning Carson Wentz injury in Week 12. Wentz injured his hand on a botched handoff and had to briefly leave the game. He returned and did not miss a snap, but he wrapped his hand in ice following the game. X-rays were negative but more tests were planned for Monday.
It appears all is well following the tests. Wentz is viewed as day-to-day with a hand bruise, but is fine for Week 13 when the Eagles travel to face the Miami Dolphins, according to beat writer Derrick Gunn. He is reportedly not going to miss any practice, according to Zach Berman, but fantasy football owners should not be surprised if he is listed as limited. There’s no need for the Eagles to push too hard with Wentz.
Fantasy football analysis: Eagles QB Carson Wentz
It’s been a rough season for Wentz, but if you’re looking for a Week 13 streaming option, he’s worth considerations. The Dolphins are a dumpster fire, and if Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor return, I would not be surprised if Wentz has his best game since the early part of the season. He has thrown one touchdown in six of the past seven games, but I could see him finding the end zone two or three times against the Dolphins. He’ll be a decent DFS option this weekend.
