UPDATE: Jon Gruden told the media Hunter Renfrow may be done for the season, pending further tests, per Ian Rapoport.

The Oakland Raiders lost a stunner in Week 12 to the New York Jets, and it was a costly defeat. It swung their playoff chances, and they also lost rookie wide receiver Hunter Renfrow to a broken rib injury. Renfrow broke his rib and also puncture his lung, according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport.

Renfrow has quietly emerged as one of the better rookie receivers this year. He has not had a monster game, but through 11 games he has 36 receptions for 396 yards and a touchdown. His timeline for return is TBD while the injury continues to be assessed.

Fantasy football analysis: Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow

Renfrow did not have much re-draft league value this season, but did offer something in deeper leagues. His value is in keeper and dynasty leagues, where most owners are likely comfortable waiting to see how he recovers from the injury and looks ahead to next season.

For the 2019 season, Tyrell Williams is the only Raiders wide receiver worth starting. He and tight end Darren Waller have been the big fantasy options, although Williams’ value has declined after opening the season with a five-game touchdown scoring streak.
