The San Francisco 49ers head east to face the Baltimore Ravens in a potential Super Bowl preview in Week 13. We get two teams competing for the top seed in their respective conference, and the big narrative will be Lamar Jackson vs. the impressive 49ers defense.
However, the 49ers offense has improved in recent weeks, and they could welcome back a helpful piece of the puzzle. Kicker Robbie Gould injured his quad in early November and has missed the team’s last three games. The 49ers signed Chase McLaughlin in his place. McLaughlin has been productive with the 49ers, reaching double digit points in two of the three games.
Gould has been working his way back, and appears on track to return this weekend. He was spotted before Week 12 Sunday Night Football converted a 55-yard field goal attempt.

Gould told beat writer Matt Maiocco that, “he was feeling great and expects to play against the Ravens this Sunday.” Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Gould is really close, and the team just wants to make sure he is 100 percent before sending him out there.
If he is active on Sunday against the Ravens, he is a solid fantasy start on an improving 49ers offense.
