Julio Jones, Austin Hooper remain sidelined at Falcons practice

The Falcons are keeping a close eye on their star receiver. We break down the fantasy football implications for Julio Jones headed into Thanksgiving football.

The Atlanta Falcons are hosting the New Orleans Saints on a short week, and they may face a predicament heading into Thanksgiving. Wide receiver Julio Jones and tight end Austin Hooper both sat out the open portion of Tuesday’s practice, per beat writer Vaughn McClure. Jones was not seen and Hooper spent the open session working with the training staff.

Hooper is not expected to play due to an MCL sprain, and could miss another one or two game. However, Jones is a little more difficult to figure out. He injured his shoulder in Week 12 and missed a brief stretch coming out of halftime. He returned and finished out the game, but is banged up as we come down the home stretch of the season.

The Falcons have one more practice on Wednesday and Jones seems likely to be listed as questionable. He’s the proverbial “warrior” so odds are good he plays through the pain, but this will be something to track heading into Thursday evening.
