The Detroit Lions will be down to their third-string quarterback on Thanksgiving if Ian Rapoport and Stacey Dales report holds up. The NFL Network reporters are reporting that Jeff Driskel’s injured hamstring is going to prevent him from playing in Week 13. Rookie David Blough will start in his place.
Fantasy football analysis: Lions offense
This is kind of a huge deal. Driskel has not been great since replacing Stafford, but he’s been serviceable, particularly as a scrambling quarterback. Blough is very much an unknown. He is not worth starting, and you’ll need to downgrade all of your Lions skill position players. The passing game is tough to figure out with this, and the ground game will face all sorts of eight-man boxes.
The Lions season is just about over from a playoff contention perspective. This news only further sinks any chance of turning this season around.
