Awwww, what’s that? Matt Ryan broke your heart last week against the Buccaneers? Awwww, poor baby. Join the club. In what many believed to be a chalk spot for Ryan and the Falcons against Tampa Bay, of course Atlanta didn’t show up. The offensive line couldn’t keep the QB upright and the rest is history. Ryan completed just 50% of his passes for 271 yards and an INT. It was Ryan’s fourth straight start failing to reach 20 fantasy points, in perhaps the best matchup in football. So yeah, things aren’t looking great heading into Thanksgiving vs. the Saints.
Fantasy Football Analysis: Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan
So the Falcons beat the Saints a few weeks back but that wasn’t really because of Ryan and the offense. It was mostly New Orleans being bad and the Falcons defense showing up for once. Now, this week should be drastically different despite Atlanta playing at home. The game plan is clear without Austin Hooper and Devonta Freeman — if you get to Matt Ryan, he will go down. I think the Saints will apply pressure from all sides of the field and force Ryan into questionable throws. I think Matty Heisman is a risky play in season-long formats and I’d only suggest using him if you’re desperate.
