What to do with Jason Witten, Dawson Knox

How should you approach the TEs on Thursday since Jason Witten has been quiet over the last three weeks, and Dawson Knox is a touchdown-or-busy play? We break down the fantasy football start/sit considerations in Week 13.

Jason Witten has only exceeded expectations once over the last month, and that game came against the Giants. Enter the Buffalo defense, a unit that has allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game to the tight end position. Witten is not really known for his yards after catch or explosive down field catches, making him an extremely risky option for Thursday’s game.

Dawson Knox is in a much better position than Witten, but he’s only an option if you failed to pick up all the streaming TEs that have been available on the wire over the past month. Knox has had his three best games of the season against the Bengals, Browns and Dolphins, and that tells you all you need to know.

Fantasy Football Analysis:

I would stay far away Jason Witten or Dawson Knox, unless it is in a showdown contest on DraftKings, which makes Knox slightly appealing due to a $4,400 salary. Honestly, I’d rather play the Cowboys D/ST or the kickers in that format to lock in guaranteed points rather than boom-or-bust TEs that don’t not have enough boom to really make a difference.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation:

Sit Jason Witten and Dawson Knox
