Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper took a helmet shot to his knee on Thanksgiving and will get an x-ray on Friday. Cooper suffered the injury in the fourth quarter after catching eight passes for 85 yards against the Buffalo Bills.
Cooper has been dealing with a knee injury for a while not, and this aggravation is something that could prove problematic. He’ll get x-rayed on Friday and then has a week of recovery before the Cowboys face the Chicago Bears on Thursday Night Football.
The Cowboys planned on making Cooper an active part of the game plan, and he ended up leading the team with 11 targets. Ezekiel Elliott was second with ten targets, and the next closest receiver was Michael Gallup at six.
Cooper will have a full week which is a plus, but given the issues he’s had with the knee, we’ll want to pay close attention to the Monday and Tuesday practice participation reports.
