Bengals WR A.J. Green missed another practice and is unlikely to play in Week 13. We break down the fantasy football implications for his replacements.

UPDATE: As expected, A.J. Green was ruled out, per beat writer Jay Morrison.

The Cincinnati Bengals wrapped up their Week 13 practice schedule on Friday, and wide receiver A.J. Green has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the New York Jets. Green did not practice this week and his status for the rest of the season is in doubt. I’d say it’s in question, but I’m not sure there is much question left.

Fantasy football analysis: Bengals wide receivers

Green’s continued absence is providing an opportunity for the Bengals to assess what Auden Tate and Alex Erickson bring to the table opposite Tyler Boyd. Tate has been the slightly more consistent, although he’s coming off a Week 12 in which he caught a single ten yard reception. Erickson had two big weeks in late October, catching 14 passes for 234 yards, but has three receptions for 43 yards in the three games since.

Neither has broken out, and the state of the Bengals does not offer much hope for their 2020 fantasy draft prospects. The Bengals are likely to draft a quarterback, but with A.J. Green potentially leaving in free agency, they’ll need to stock up the cupboard a bit. Tate and Erickson are likely to be undrafted free agents next summer.
