Adam Thielen probably won’t play Monday if he’s not 100 percent

VIkings WR Adam Thielen discussed his chances of playing Week 13 Monday Night Football. We break down the fantasy football implications.

The Minnesota Vikings are not sure at this point if wide receiver Adam Thielen will be available for their Monday Night Football contest against the Seattle Seahawks. Thielen has been getting in limited workouts this week while recovering from a hamstring injury. He has made progress from before the team’s Week 12 bye, but he’s not sure if he will play.

Thielen told the media on Friday that he would probably not play if he is not 100 percent, according to beat writer Chris Tomasson. Thielen acknowledged the difference between a hamstring injury and other injuries and if he’s not 100 percent he’s likely to aggravate the injury.

Fantasy football analysis: Vikings WR Adam Thielen

Unfortunately this means Thielen is likely to be a dreaded MNF game-time decision. This means if you don’t have Olabisi Johnson or a Seahawks receiver as an alternative, you’ll have to make a tough call on Sunday. Hopefully Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning brings some clarity, but given Thielen’s language, I suspect he does not play on Monday.
