The Dallas Cowboys had a rough Thanksgiving, losing to the Buffalo Bills and briefly losing Amari Cooper late in the game to an aggravation of his knee injury. Cooper left the game and returned, but had an x-ray after the game. He got an MRI on Friday, and it confirmed no structural damage to the knee, per beat writer Calvin Watkins.
The Cowboys have a rare non-ten day break after a Thursday game. They play next Thursday on the road against the Chicago Bears. It’s a normal recovery period for Cooper, followed by a couple extra days heading into Week 15.
Fantasy football analysis: Cowboys WR Amari Cooper
Cooper should be fine, but fantasy players should keep an eye on the injury report. Thankfully the Cowboys made a pointed effort of getting Cooper more involved in the game play. A week after only two targets vs. the Patriots, Cooper had 11 targets against Buffalo and finished with eight receptions for 85 yards. With fantasy playoffs starting next week, let’s hope this is the start of a busy run for Cooper.
