Davante Adams game status update

Packers WR Davante Adams is officially active for Week 9 vs. the Los Angeles Chargers. He has been absent since suffering the injury in Week 4. There will be some rust, but Adams is worth starting if you rolled the dice on his injury status.

The last time we saw Davante Adams on the field was back in Week 4. All he did in that game was torch the Eagles defense for 180 yards on 10 catches. And then he landed on the shelf with a toe injury, missing the next month of action. Now, he appears ready to return for the Packers’ Week 9 road trip to Los Angeles, lifting the spirits of fantasy footballers everywhere.

Adams is still listed as questionable on the injury report this week, meaning he has a 50/50 chance of playing. The team said that they may not decide his status until the very last minute, an hour and a half before Sunday’s kickoff 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. However, he looked really good in practice on Friday, and there’s reason to be optimistic that he will indeed suit up this week.

Fantasy football analysis, Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams

Game-time decisions are always tough, especially when it’s one of the late afternoon game. If Adams does play, he deserves to start in fantasy lineups. Yes, he’ll be shaded by Chargers CB Casey Hayward, but given the hot streak Aaron Rodgers is on right now (10 touchdowns in his last three games) you can’t afford not to start his No. 1 receiver.
