Point spread, total, moneyline and more for Browns-Steelers in Week 13

Don’t look now, but the Browns are coming in hot over the past month, winning three straight contests. The Steelers won last weekend, and currently occupy the final playoff spot in the AFC at 6-5, just one game ahead of Cleveland. This is a tremendous moving opportunity for both teams as it pertains to the AFC playoff race.

The Browns got off to a shaky start to the year, but have been excellent over the past three weeks, ranking top 12 in both yards per play and defensive yards per play allowed. On the year, they have the 18th ranked offense and 13th ranked defense by Football Outsiders DVOA. Things definitely aren’t as great as they were predicted for this team coming into the year, but the team is still talented enough to make some noise down the stretch. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has thrown just one interception, and been sacked only six times in his past four games.

Pittsburgh has been one of the best defensive units in football, and it is what has propelled their success. By DVOA, they are the third-best defense in the NFL, and they have the second-best pressure rate in the league. They are also top five in adjusted net yards per pass attempt defense. Offensively is a bit of a different story. Whether it has been Mason Rudolph or Devin Hodges, the team has struggled to maintain a consistent rythm. They will need to run the ball effectively, and make some chunk plays in the passing game in order to score points. Of course, it helps when the defense can provide some short fields as well.
