It’s been quite the 2019 season for wide receiver Josh Gordon. A year after joining the New England Patriots in a trade from the Cleveland Browns, he appeared to be making progress toward getting his career on track. He had three touchdowns for 73 yards and a touchdown in the season opener, and was looking like a regular target for Tom Brady once it was clear Antonio Brown was out of the picture.
However, a knee injury slowed him down, and the Patriots eventually placed him on injured reserve after he missed two straight games. The Patriots subsequently waived him off injured reserve leading up to Week 9. It came after the trade deadline, which meant he would have to go through the waivers process, rather than becoming an unrestricted free agent.
The Seattle Seahawks successfully claimed him on Friday, November 1st. The thought was that he would only need a week or two to get healthy after being placed on IR. He has reportedly passed his physical in Seattle, which means he could be back playing sooner rather than later.
We’ll be tracking his performance through the season, from a traditional and DFS fantasy perspective. Follow along throughout the 2019 season.
