The NFL has passed through the halfway point of the 2019 NFL season, and Oakland Raiders running back Josh Jacobs is the odds-on favorite to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. He got off to a relatively modest start, but three 120+ rushing yard performances and a pair of two touchdown games over his last four starts has shot him to the top. He is now the favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook with -110 odds.
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is hanging behind him at +175. Arizona has lost two straight, but he put together a big performance against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night Football, throwing for 241 yards and two touchdowns and rushing for 34 yards in a 28-25 loss.
It’s a two-player race at this point. Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Marquise Brown and Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery are next at +1400. Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew has dropped behind them at +1600, and his odds likely will continue to drop with Nick Foles replacing him as the team’s starting quarterback.
