The Oakland Raiders offense is coming into form of late, and the team is right in the thick of the AFC wild card race. They face a huge matchup in Week 10 as they host the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday Night Football, and they’ll be counting on rookie wide receiver Hunter Renfrow to continue his emergence.
Renfrow has scored a touchdown each of the last two weeks, and has ten receptions for 142 yards in that time. He has supplanted Tyrell Williams for the time being as Derek Carr’s go-to guy after tight end Darren Waller.
Fantasy football analysis: Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow
The Chargers rank eight for fewest fantasy points given up to a wide receiver. They haven’t given up double digit fantasy points to a receiver the past two weeks, and have been fairly solid after a rocky first two weeks.
It’s tough to tell just what to make of Renfrow after two solid games. Is he turning into a WR3/Flex option? Is he a flash in the pan. With six teams on bye this week, he’s not a bad start if you’re short-handed. But this does not seem to be the best matchup for him. If he puts up a third straight solid performance, he becomes a potentially valuable start the following week at home against the Bengals.
