It’s safe to say Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon is back. After weeks of trying to shake off the rust, he is putting up a second consecutive solid game, and had his best game to date. Gordon rushed for 108 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries and added a 25-yard reception in the Chargers 26-24 loss to the Oakland Raiders in Week 10 Thursday Night Football.
This performance comes a week after a solid 109 total yards and two-touchdown performance against the Green Bay Packers. His first three weeks back from his holdout, he had 112 total rushing yards and 40 receiving yards combined.
Austin Ekeler is still getting opportunities, but Week 10 is the Melvin Gordon show for now. Ekeler finished with six rushes for 19 yards and two catches for 29 yards. He remains a part of the offense, but as Gordon improves, Ekeler’s total touches will decline.
