He’s back! Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will make his return in Week 10, 24 days after he dislocated his kneecap against the Denver Broncos in Week 7 Thursday Night Football. He has been a full participant in practice all week and head coach Andy Reid announced he will get the start in place of Matt Moore this weekend.

This is not unexpected given how he has recovered from his injury, but it’s a big lift for the Chiefs and for fantasy owners. Mahomes is a must start when healthy, and while he is likely not 100 percent healthy, you should slot him right back into your lineup. He faces a fairly solid Titans defense, but Mahomes is the kind of guy you start regardless of opponent — even at less than 100 percent.

Moore was solid enough in place of Mahomes, but the return of the king upgrades every single Chiefs fantasy option. The run game benefits from defenses having to be more honest, the pass catchers all benefit from the better QB, and of course, Mahomes is the clearly better starting option than Moore. Start Mahomes this weekend, and don’t think twice about it.
