The Sunday kickoffs for Week 10 are almost here, and it’s time to start plotting out your Week 10 DFS lineups. In Week 9, a lot of the usual suspects dominated, but we had some under-the-radar names step up in a big way to key folks to victory.
If you splurge elsewhere in your DFS lineup, you might need to scrap the bottom of the barrel to fill out the rest of your lineup. If you’re able to save a little more money on a player, who not make it the tight end position?
So here are three best tight end plays under $4,000 that could provide the best value for Week 10. Values from DraftKings.
Chris Herndon (NYJ) - $3,800
Chris Herndon appears finally ready to return to the New York Jets, and against a weak secondary in the New York Giants, it couldn’t come at a better time for Sam Darnold and the New York Jets. Sam Darnold will likely be playing with something to prove against the G-Men who passed on him in the NFL Draft two years ago, and he’ll need to shake the talks of him “seeing ghosts” two weeks ago against the New England Patriots. Darnold will likely be slinging it this week, and Herndon could be one of the primary beneficiaries.
Cameron Brate (ARI) - $3,700
Three things are certain in life: death, taxes, and opposing tight ends finding success against the Arizona Cardinals defense. Jameis Winston isn’t afraid to throw the ball down field (although you could argue that maybe he should be a little more afraid), but Brate’s teammate at tight end in OJ Howard hasn’t really lived up to his preseason hype. It’s been Brate’s show at tight end right now, and with Patrick Peterson covering Mike Evans, Jameis will have to turn to Chris Goodwin and Cameron Brate to keep the passing game moving.
Kyle Rudolph (MIN) - $3,400
When Adam Thielen appeared to re-injure his hamstring last week, Kyle Rudolph scored a touchdown on what seemed like a textbook Adam Thielen route. Thielen doesn’t appear ready to go on Sunday when the Minnesota Vikings travel to Jerry’s World to face the Dallas Cowboys, so Rudolph could again have a big game after a slow start to the season. In a game that could have playoff implications in the NFC, Kirk Cousins and the Vikings might still need to pass the ball, and Rudolph will be an excellent complimentary piece to Stefon Diggs.
